I have AMD64 3000+; GeForce 6800GT, 1GB ram, and when I go to video settings, there are no high textures to set, only low and medium. Can anyone know what's this about...? It's not like I can't chose it, it's like it doesn't exist!

I dont think your setup is good enough for high in this game. I think you need like a 512 mb card or something.

C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Demo\Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter Demo\Data\settings

Go to that folder and edit the renderer_settings XML document and replace the lows and mediums with High and it should enable what you are looking for in the menu. Open the file with notepad by the way.

Hi, I have 2xEvga 7900GT OC in SLI, so WHY can I choose only between low and medium ? Nowhere in the manual they mentionned that HIGH quality require a 512meg video card. This is the worst video setup I can remember.

Idem for widescreen selection, I cannot chose the res of my monitor 1680x1050, max res of 1280x1024.

No choice for vsynch...etc...

Doing your manual modification will result in corrupt texture occasionaly.

This game sound like a beta right now, again we'll have to wait for a patch.

You can't choose high in the setting because the developers probably have a deal with a big hardware company to try and encourage you to buy a 512 MB video card. It's complete bull****, because I went into the XML settings and forced everything to high, and the game runs fine. Even if it didn't, settings should be my choice as the consumer. I hate **** like this. I have a 7900 GT, by the way.

I set all the renderer_settings to high and it makes a massive plus to the look of the game, but your fps will drop.

what about these settings?

<variable name="texture_managed_buildings" value="false"/> quite allot of them are set to false what does it do if i enable? does it look better?
