Hey guys,

A couple of years ago I was at a smallish airshow in Wisconsin (USA, for those who've never heard of it.) Along with the usual routines, they had the Blue Angels doing their low routine... and another team.

I can't remember the other team's name, so I've been having a devil of a time finding any info about them online.

They had 10-12 bright yellow T-6 Texans, and flew pretty much the Angels' routine, with all 10 Texans, at show center. Quite impressive, almost felt like they were "tweaking" the Navy pilots a bit by keeping the entire show lower and closer to the crowd than the F-18's could.

At show's end, they took off in a line, formed up and flew away over the parking lot.

Incredible formation flying, great looking planes... I'd love to find some pictures of the team in action.

Any help you can give in tracking these guys down is appreciated! Thanks!

Well, there are many smaller groups that do basic formation aerobatics in the T-6, the only full bore team I can think of at the moment is the Aeroshell guys:

If you are sure they were T-6's then ignore this: A team known as "Lima Lima" does a display similar to what you have mentioned, using yellow Beech T-34s.

Thanks for the info!

Now I know my memory isn't the best... so I can see mistaking a T-6 and a T-34 when viewed from a distance of 3 or more years... but I'm 100% positive they flew with more than just 6 aircraft.

Apart from the numbers, I'd be willing to say it was the Lima Lima team I saw. Still, they've got some nice shots on their website, just the kind of thing I was looking for.

Also liked that other link you provided: http://www.naat.net

I may not see many airshows here in the Midwest, but these sorts of displays are the reason to attend!
