how can i get the crew telling me something..
i own sh3 missed sh4 and i used to call the WO and SO for info..
also when listening with the hydrophone i cannot get the contact detail...

Church's SH5 Keys 1.1 gives you key combos you can use such as Shift-V = nearest visual contact
DarkWraith's MultiUI for SH5 restores the full SH3 officer command bar so you can click on a command to report nearest sound contact or have your AA gunners only attack incoming close range bombers or whatever.
In the stock game however... not so much.

the thing is i didnt want to mod the game just baught it you know but i think i will proceed...
1 question pls
hydrophone notepad gives me nothing..is it because im playing a custom mission? or because of 100%realism?

The hydrophone notepad is broken, hopefully it'll get fixed.
As far as modding is concerned, the game is specifically designed for it and we've been given tools to encourage it. Even the designers don't expect you to play the stock game. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
If you use the JSGME program, installing and uninstalling mods is completely effortless.

I felt the same way, I owned SH3 unmodded (love it) never bought SH4, then bought this one.I thought why should I have to mode it, I just want to play the darned thing.Eoweth was right,JSGME makes it easy.I try a mod and if it's not for me I just turn it off,like a light switch.Look at it this way, We have options and thats not bad.
