I dont think blood in a Rayman game would be so bad. Just not that much of it. And as long as Rayman doesnt have a weapon on him. I have seen fan art of him with weapons and it just looks wrong.

Remember the movie signs? The most scary parts are when the music kicked in and they saw an alien in the birthday video. That was a little creepy.

Rayman is meant to be for young kids. I mean, all the game ratings are 3+ or 7+ wich proves it's for kids so a adult game would not be good for the folloing reasons:

1. The kids might be scared.

2. Rayman is ment to be for kids.

3. Rayman can't get weapons in his world.

4. It would give Ubisoft a bad name.

And I kinda had an idea last night about the changes from the cuteness-sweetness factor of the Rayman series to a somewhat more grown up environment.

Look at Jak and Daxter.

The first game was exceedingly child friendly to the point where I almost had chills at some parts of the game.

However...JakII made one HECK of a change, but kept much of its old audience and gained new fans in the process since the gameplay and storyline was even more epic than ever before! It only got better in Jak 3.

If the Rayman series took a very similar turn as the Jak and Daxter series, it would probably work, especially since the storyline in Rayman 2 was already somewhat dark to begin with. Rayman 3 only lightened up a lot because Ancel didn't work on most of it. He was just a coach.

I agree completely. Jak II was a big change but it didn't exactly overdo the violence or anything, it was still something kids could play. It was simply better, and didn't get rid of the aspects that made Jak and Daxter good either.
Jak II is probably my favourite game ever by the way.

The Hoodlum itself being squished or the score number you get for squishing it. It's been a while since I played that part, but there was no blood in R3, I know that much.

I have the game so I'll let you know now there's no blood in RRR T.V party.

In one of the mini games where you get to race with a tractor (I think that's what it is) and during the clip a Rabbid (dressed up as a news reporter) gets run over and something splattes on the screen they thought was blood but its really mud.

Point is they may have mistaken it for mud.

And about the mild language it was just for one title for the mini game; Rabbidass. Nothing more.

.....I thought Rabbidass was a parody of *******. -_- And as for blood, the only thing blood related was when a tv falls on the weather reporter in the commercial mini-game and all you see is meatballs and spegetti and the Rabbid blown up to pieces.

But who cares? Nothing gorey as choppin' down bunny heads with a butcher knife like in Psychonauts. Overall, TV Party was a very fun multiplayer game and it was their funniest game yet. It could make more money if not critized by so many Rayman fans. Oddly enough, Rabbids have a HUGE fanbase than expected. 0_0

I think Rayman should go for a more mature direction, like Spyro did, but at the same time keep the wackiness and cartoony stuff, and some good humour tossed in every now and then. Kind of like Rayman 2.

i actually like that there was blood in the game, as well as mild languauge, although i never did play it. Rayman's hardly immortal. Everyone bleeds, and everyone's at least mildly cussed at some point. I actually like the fact that Rayman's not some ultimate hero that's the supreme force of benevolence. It's good that Ubi showed that he's mortal and imperfect. That said, I'd like to see mild language and blood in an actual Rayman game (like R2 or R3 in terms of overall playing. I like the 3D)

Rayman is <STRIKE>as said before</STRIKE> a fantasy game <STRIKE>although in other fantasy games gore appears</STRIKE> and it is meant for children. I am aware of that the Ubisoft company pays attention to that.

Nowadays (young) parents won't even take the effort to raise their child. And television can affect the children as well, in different aspects. In other words, it is not such a huge issue. If a few 'mild' words appear in the dialoge then that is okay, right?

I have to agree, over the top humor like in Crash Bandicoot Twinsanity, would be great in Raymans world. Also I always thought universe wise that Rayman 1 and 3 had the same kinda tone. Rayman 2 was too serious, Rayman 3 to me felt like rekindled nostalgia of Rayman's universe in Rayman 1, I wish there would have been a few old faces, lol like Space Mama, she would be a intresting character in Raymans 3 more smart mouth world .

But it's obvious that the raving rabbits have to stop. Rayman was awesome and the rabbits ruined the idea that was once Rayman. We all had enough of em. I hope that Ubisoft has noticed this. I guess that they did after showing their recent trailer of Rayman Origins. Although it somehow makes fun of rayman 1&2 it still an improvement of RRR. If the Origins is a success i hope that they will see it as an opertunity to bring back the old Rayman we all knew without the sillyness of Origins).

I think they should just up the ante and make the next Rayman, not Rayman Origins; but the next Rayman for Xbox to be more like Splatterhouse.
