When running my frames skip

Ok i just DLd Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory with a Direct 2 Drive system. I had it on all HIGHEST settings thinking that my system could easily handle it since FEAR/HL2/Farcry all run flawlessly on all high. When i run ONLY at full speed my screen starts to skip. Lambert was talking to me and he would say Fisher this is....this is Fisher this is....and that just kinda pissed me off so i turned ALL settings on lowest.......and it still happens. This isnt game breaking for me but it is extremely annoying. Can anyone tell me what I need to do in order to fix this.



I have my latest graphics drivers updated and no background programs were running. I am using a EVGA Nvidia Geforce 7900GT KO.

Are you talking about how there's a stutter at the beginning of every spoken line? That's just something you have to live with, there's no way to fix it. It's a problem every PC player has.

no no.....the dialogue is fine. Sorry should have explained a little more in detail.

When I am crouched the game runs smoothly no matter how fast im going. BUT as soon as i get into ANY position other then crouch (crawlingin vent, standing up, etc.) I get about 1 second of smooth gameplay then it skips... BUT the weird part is. If i stand up from being in acrouch and i am moving at slowest possible speed it doenst lag. It only starts to lag when i roll my mouse wheel (mouse button 3) up to the 3rd speed. I have turned EVERYTHING down to off and my screen to 640-480 and it still does this.

oh. That's weird, I'm not sure what you should do. Sometimes rolling back your drivers solves problems.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

You said you have the latest graphics drivers but since you are having sound problems have you updated you sound card drivers recently.

Out of intrest what sound card do you have?

i have choas theory also and the whole game lags for me!!! i have nvidia geforce 6150le vid card...whats the deal??? it really lags when i am shooting someone..i mainly play just single player...please help
