I just came across this screencap taken from Rainbow Six: Vegas 2(never noticed it was there):

Mars Awakens July 26th
Nephilim 2010
What about the date? Did the developers knew two years in advance when an add-on would be launched or did they just spend too much time reading the Book of Enoch? http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Hmm... It wouldn't be the first time
V2 advertised an upcoming movie. Tropic
Thunder was all over the story mode.
Maybe I'd recognize it if I saw it, but
I don't pay much attention to in-game
ads. Getting distracted is not a good
strategy in an FPS... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/shady.gif

Hmm, where's it at in-game?
Now I'm curious... http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Yeah I'm aware of that, that's why i said in the OP: "Did the developers knew two years in advance when an add-on would be launched..." And of course they don't but the date might still be interesting.
Anyway, we'll see tomorrow.

they used Vegas 2 to advertise several games in the COMCAST convention missions. splintercell, halo, a few more games made by ubisoft. plus on Endwar they used billboards in the game to for several movies like 'quarantine' and 'the crazies'
