Multiplayer problem..

I've got a problem with logging onto multiplayer.. when i click on the multiplayer button it comes up with "Failed to initialize network serive", when it works on my other laptop with exactly the same hardware and software.. (that laptop is my sisters, thus why i have installed it on this laptop).

Someone got a fix for this?

and no, it's not the anti-virus or whatever.. i've already checked that.
