Incredible /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif Great work /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif
Will aircrafts be reflected in the lake?

Sry for my English /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

It's incredibly beautifull. I especially love the new rendering of the mountains (and the new planes /i/smilies/16x16_robot-wink.gif )
Aircrafts reflecting in the lake would be a FPS killer I think.

It looks very nice, but also odd. I've never seen water reflections look like that from the sky (might tell something about the weather here about, though!) I get the impression that the water is very very calm, yet the waves are huge without breaking.

It is done with the help of professional photograph /i/smilies/16x16_robot-happy.gif We used his photos to model it. However with different weather and big waves it shouldn't be so sharp, I agree with your notice. But.... we are not gods.... somethiong should go currently with compromisses.

I happened to see something very very close to that, years ago traveling through Norway. During some days of fine weather you could really see mountains and clouds reflecting on the water. i took some picts too. I'll never forget it, and I'm really impressed by founding it again in this work /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

Well one thing I know you did not simulate. Waves get higher and coppy closer to the shore. I dont think you can simulate this simply http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif Also one thing people dont realize is for rivers and lakes, you get a good reflection. In the pacific and other larger body's of water, you dont. I think you did a wonderful job with the reflections. A lot better then any game yet. I love how the shore looks like its more transparant the closer you get to the land. Wonderful stuff! I cant wait to land on it!!!

As I said in the other thread:

Beautiful, BUT:

The night reflection looks too bright, as if somebody took the moon OUT of the screenshot. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

Reflections of planes would be nice, but then the smoketrail and fire would have to be displayed as well. (Would be nice though)

Bridges and ships are more important to have reflected. They are more frequently in your line of sight. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

This was a cruel joke. I got a good feeling seeing the once familiar "Red" Maddox post since it has been absent here for some time now.

Oleg come back, we miss you.

Such reflections can perfectly been seen on mountain lakes for instance. They're perhaps a little more transparent.

Btw, the last pic of the sea surface is very impressing!

Cheers,

P.S. High altitude grey overcast clouds would be great too, especially for the Normandy map.

You guys DID catch the date on the original post by OM, didnt you? This was a pre-FB release post about a year ago.

Again, it's sad that we dont see OM posting here anymore. I really wish he would.
