12 New LaGG skins. It's like a swarm of big bees, isn't it? Well, not quite bees. But a swarm, nonetheless... I've been really busy with lots of new VVS material, and this batch of LaGGs is the first to emerge. There's some La-5s and P-39s waiting in the wings too. I've chosen lots of different and interesting schemes, so make sure you have a look at the Readme for the story of the various skins. Comments are very welcome http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif They're available now at my site www.canons-skins.com (http://www.canons-skins.com)

Hello 'Canon',
Great skins! I appreciate very much that you take time and effort improving on the availability of quality VVS skins. Perhaps you will have more coming, covering the Soviet - Finland conflicts, besides what you have already done?
Cheers!

Kharoshiy Rabota!

I think this is the first time I've seen someone reproduce paint wear over wooden surfaces for the LaGG!

Bear in mind that the information on this site isn't strictly correct. The attributation to Galchenko does not stand, and neither does the assumption that every aircraft from 19 GIAP that had a cat emblem was flown by the same pilot. The cat emblem was found on aircraft not flown by Mironov as well.

very nice skins, just like the new defaults http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

the most interesting skin is the partly unpainted Series 4, I have never seen such thing before. And the one with the cat is cool too..I saw a similar plane at http://mig3.sovietwarplanes.com/lagg3/galachenko/galachenko.html http://mig3.sovietwarplanes.com/lagg3/galachenkoallm2cr.jpg

cheers

Interesting info re the cat emblem. I just read the stuff about Galchenko in the Osprey book, but didn't want to get into a debate in this thread about who flew what. I think you know a lot more about the plane than I do anyway.

BTW can I use 1 or 2 of your Yakskins in my upcoming Pe-2/ A-20G campaign? I'm using Yak-9D's as escort.
