After spending a good 10 minutes experimenting with the pressure plates in Teledahn, a sudden, unbearably loud, feedback-like sound came from my speakers, although it got quieter as I turned the volume down and didn't stop until I quit Uru. Also, it sounded somewhat ambient, like it was coming from a really far away room only deafeningly loud. I crapped my pants - twice! This has never happened before and it scared me so bad I'm afraid to play with sound! Please tell me that this feedback is not part of the level!

See maztec's excellent 'Hardware/Software Technical Support Guide' at http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums?a=tpc&s=400102&f=8271034&m=1161008
When you restarted Uru, did you still have the problem?
Do you have a microphone, MIDI device (keyboard, etc.), or recording device connected to your system? If so, try disconnecting it/them. If you have a software control panel for your sound system, try muting/turning off everything thats's not necessary for Uru, like MIDI, microphone, recording, etc.
Also, you might want to omit references to certain (most, in fact) bodily functions from any future Forum posts.
