Hi,
What exactly are (1)Radar and (2) HUD, and where can I find info on them? I believe from reading various forums that they can show much useful information to help you progress in the game. I want to be able to get them to show every piece of information which they are capable of showing, and for me to be able to interpret the indicators.
What should I read and where can I find it? Please help.
Many Thanks
Palmer.

C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Crytek\Far Cry\Support\Manual
Or where ever you installed the game.
Page 7
HUD = Heads up display
The radar is refered to as the "Awareness Scope" ans is part of the HUD.

pakmanis hello, and thanks for your response.
I did not know that there was a manual in the game directory, and thank you for that.
But I have read the identical page in the thin booklet which comes with the game.
My difficulty is that I do not reccognise on my screen, the Awareness Scope or the Impact Indicator mentioned.
Can you please point me to more detailed guides on this subject, or to other forum posts.
Palmer.

Screenshots (http://forums.filefront.com/showthread.php?t=147974) with the HUD.
On the left is the "awareness scope" (which everyone generally refers to as the "radar").
You are the center dot http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
The greenish arrow is where your "objective" is.
Once your objective is within the radar's distance it will change to a spot in the radar.
At the bottom left and right are two bars. These are the "sleath" meter. When the enemy has spotted you or heard you they fill up green, yellow, red (the shot with the cargo chopper shows them full). This means that they know where you are and are coming to get you. If you run and hide someplace else (without being seen they slowly go down as the enemies give up the search.
Once you mark some enemies with the binoculars they will show up on the radar as small little triagles. These triagles change from green (just hanging out) yellow (on alert, heard you or your actions) and Red (seen you and are attacking). Also, as with your objective, once the enemies you have tagged are out of the radar's distance they too will become small arrows on the ring of the radar (that change colors too).
On the right of the screen are three bars.
Red is your health, gold/yellow is your armor and blue is your stamina.
To the right of those is your the weapon in your hand at the time status. The top number is number of rounds you have in the gun. The bottom the number of rounds you are carrying.
To the left of the numbers is a small icon.
This represents the firing mode the weapon is in, ie: one bullet icon = singleshot, three bullet icon = full automatic (Not all the weapons have these two modes though) If the weapon has secondary the number work the same and the little icon will be the one for that particular round.
To the right of the numbers is the current grenade (or rock if you don't have any nades http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif) That will be thrown if you hit the throw nade key.
The impact sensor thing is different. It shows along the edges of the screen. So if someone shots and hits you on your right, the right side of the screen turns red on the edge. Or if there kinda of up and right the top and right sides will go red.
Anyway, is that clear? Let me know if not.
Edit: Forgot to mention if your in a vehicle of some sort the vehicle health/status is shown on the rightside of the Radar with the appropriate icon.
