Somebody missed a great opportunity for home made cockpits.

Apparently someone had demilitarized cockpits from 2 F-14s and an F-18. The Navy picked 'em up - took a forklift and a flatbed to do it.

The LOMAC players must all be crying their eyes out.

Yep, read about that in the local paper here in NJ. Just surprised they showed up in Middleton. I would have expected Newark, Paterson or Camden (lovely towns just make sure you're packing heat within 5 miles of the city limits!).

When will the vintage fighter aircraft pits come out of hiding?
...And I'm ALWAYS packin' heat...especially in NJ http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/winky.gif

I don't get it. If they were completely stripped, why would the military reclaim them?

What am I missing here? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif

My guess is they were supposed to go to a museum, VFW or a scrap dealer and someone pinched them to make cockpits for playing LOMAC.
