I just noticed a crewman on my sub was a Senior Chief? After my initial joy, I suddenly remembered that in WWII there was no E8 or E9 ranks in the US Navy, E7 (Chief Petty Officer) was the highest enlisted rank. Very minor issue, but it still took a bit of the wind out of my sails...

Unfortunately, there are numerous historical details that are not correctly modeled: ....For the time being, try not to let them interfere with your enjoyment of the game; ....and have faith in the Modding Community!

Like klcarroll says, the inaccuracies found in SHIV don't detract from the game any. The game is very good now, and shortly will be getting much better. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

thanks all, yes it is a very minor thing, and the game is a lot of fun regardless of the various issues such as this. I am eagerly awaiting the next patch for correction of the gameplay issues... Thanks again for listening to me rant a bit!

The RFB mod removes the Senior Chief and Master Chief ranks.
