BIA EIB First run problems

Hi all - been going through this forum etc since yesterday trying to get BIB EIB to run. The install worked fine, but on load I get a black screen. I hear the game running behind the black screen.

Specs: P4 3GHz GigoRam XP Home - DirectX 9.0c
Nvidia GeForce6800 GT 256M -

Updated Nvidia and windows drivers and applied the 01 and 02 BIBEIB patches.

Even updated my Bios revision just for the heck of it - Still the same sitauation on load.

Any thoughts appreciated,

try to reinstall it and only use the second patch....Mine was doing the same thing...I even went into my program files and deleted the old file before I reinstalled it...

yikes..black screen syndrom is a sign of an MX video card..

any wild chance you have an integrated one and added an AGP card?

i installed BIA earned in blood and i get this starforce copy protection error so i want to uninstall it and now i am geting another error telli me:
uninstaller failed to find file help bialogo.bmp.
and now im stuck with this bad installation and it wont let me reinstall
any suggestions?
