I'm a little confused...could someone explain why there are folks playing the full version coop on hamatchi?...i mean, theres already Internet IP coop included in the full version. Doesnt that make hamatchi unecessary?...Are you doing it because you just WANT to or is it because you HAVE to??

The host really has to have a good rig, and an excellent connection.

This game is a hog of all resources.

And until they get the dedi's up, MP is just going to be a pain. Which means June...maybe.

4 Player Co-Op completely blows the Domination mode into the ground and everything works like cross com, been hitting this past few days with our squad and really enjoyed it, the maps are far superior and the game play.
It really shows how bad the Domination mode was thrown together.

Well, domination sucks because theres no one who can host a 32 man server. I mean 16 vs 16 with a good ping will certainly make for nice matches. Even 3v3 can be fun aslong as you agree to stay within only a few zones.

yea some people can buy the full game I guess but I heard that same shop 6 times already. Was it you each time?

Well as nobody as properly answered your questions yet, I will give it a go.

Q1: It's great, it's basically everything domination should have been in battlefield 2... you don't get stupid small areas to camp, but the entire zone. You can capture any zone but to turn it into your own, it has to connect to a zone you currently own. I have only experienced it in small groups of people and found it to be a bit too big but i'm sure on 32 player servers, it will be fantastic.

Q2: Laddering just won't be possible until GRIN release the SADS to allow people to run stand alone dedicated servers. Currently, the only way to host a server, is by doing it through the game and actually running it... no server rental places, are going to do offer this as the cost to run such a server would cost just too much for people to afford.

Once the SADS files are out... I don't know, someone with more experience with GR is better off answering it but I think it probably won't work as the win conditions from what i've witnesses are quite tough. Still I wouldn't worry, there will be plenty of ladders still once the sads get released.

but noones actually answered my original question...IF you can host a MP (both coop and domination modes) using the game interface THEN why is everyone using hamatchi?...is it more stable, or is the ingame server browser not working yet...or what?...why the need for hamatchi right now?

i dunno why other than maybe theyre only using the demo which only allows LAN servers...but he said its domination so i have no idea why...but thanks for the insult to my intelligence...im glad i asked a simple question

thanks...i see now...i thought these were people who were able to get ahold of LEGAL full version copies because maybe some stores were willing to let them sell early...but if what you say is true it doesnt make much sense to me...i mean if theyre trying to avoid getting caught by bypassing the the UBI service then why the heck would they be so stupid as to post their information and IP's on a public UBI forum in the first place...makes no sense...it goes beyond the ignorance to my question in the first place and sets them closer to brain dead stupid, no?

Just to let you guys know. Hamachi is no longer needed with retail =)
Much more stable, no more eternal black screens, no more random disconnects etc. Works like a charm without it =D

Must be nice... Game Stop gayed me on a prepaid game so i have to wait tell god knows when. Thats a nice money making deal you pay to have your game there on release day. THen they bank your money making interest on it and you still get screwed lol. Order from ubi less headaches next time ill do that.

Just for info, I have the origianl game and it plays a damn site better over himachi than going through gayspy.
