HELP CANNOT START GAME

I purchaced Splinter Cell Chaos Theory
(dvd game version)
installation went well when i try to start the game it checks THE DISK and then the prompt leaves and the game doas NOT launch.

I have no Vertual drives or any unrecomended software that is mentioned that would conflict with the game. WHY IS THIS GAME NOT WORKING ?
I meet System requirements

Windows XP professional corporate edition
AMD Athlon 64 Processor 3200+
2.01 GHz,512MB of RAM
Asus Nvidea Geforce 6600GT
SONY DVD RW DRU-810A
AM i the only one with this problem ?
Any Advice ?


this is the second game i exchanged beacause i though the first Game was deffective..

i dont know alot about this stuff, but my guess its starforce protection. Check the site of starforce and see if u need upgrades (firmware, software or maybe even hardware)
