I noticed that there is a considerable price difference between the console and PC versions.
PC = $30
Xbox360 - $60
PS3 - $60
Can anyone explain why the PC version is half that of the consoles?
What is the difference?
I want to get this game and I prefer PC over console, but if it's watered down or missing something that the console versions have, I'd rather go with PS3.

If you have a PlayStation 3, I'd highly reccommend that you buy the PlayStation 3 version of the title. I believe it has far better graphics than the PC version.

That is normal, pc games are less expensive then consoles.

imstreet is right, if you look at prices for any game, the console version is almost always more money

Where did you get the idea that PS3 looks better than PC.
It's not PC always has better graphics, that's because PC's can upgrade and consoles remain the same for about 6 years.
So the PC-version will definately look best, but if it'll have equally good gameplay, hmm we'll just see. Let's hope Ubi doesn't give us a weak port. 6 days to go and we'll find out eh.

Aside from the Cell processor, my PC has better specs than the PS3.
I have a Dell XPS 720 w/ Dual nVidia 8800 GTX video cards in Sli-Config. A quad core Pentium proc. 4 GB of ram. And and PhysX card.
Connected to my 46" HD LCD TV running at a full 1080p resolution.
I don't think the PS3 is going to be that much different performance wise in my situation.
I have noticed a price difference between PC & PS3/360 games lately, but for the really good games, it's only a $10 difference. Usually $50 for the PC version and $60 for the console.
So seeing the PC version of LOST at half the cost scares me.
I'd go out and buy it on launch day for the PC if I had a guarantee there will be no differences, but at this point, I'm going to wait for some reviews before I throw down the cash.

isnt the ps3 graphics card designed round the geforce 7 chipset? just rember nvidia made it specail for the ps3 to work with the cell but prety sure it was the gefoce 7 chip at the centre of it. either way once dx10 comes in propperly the consoles will look like **** bioshock is proof of it if you play xbox 360 then on a dx10 pc that can run it on full the pc version looks alot more realistic.
in the end tho just hope this game is better than the movie games that come out.

PC games are always cheaper but in this case lost is £25 for 360 (instead of the £40 usual) and I think its the same on the pc.
I got rid of my pc and got a laptop because I was spending £350 etc just on graphics cards where I can buy the console for £200-£300 and it lasts for years without needing to pay for upgrades so I find it better value for money, plus you really have to spend a hell of a lot of money to play games that are equal to that of console game graphics etc.

pc version is £17.99 here (http://www.play.com/Games/PC/4-/1026283/Lost-The-Video-Game/Product.html) frankly if you pay £40 for any game in the uk your looking in the wrong places most new games can be got for £30 on launch with the odd exception normaly at something stupid like £32.99

Funnily enough caswallawn, that's where I just ordered mine from today. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif I wouldn't lay out £30+ on a new game, so if it wasn't going for that price I'd have been patient a while longer. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif Also worth noting that Amaz*n are doing it for that price too, whereas G*me are still asking about £25. Similarly, I paid under £20 for the new Simpsons game and Sims 2 Castaway (both for PS2) when they came out. No need to spend a fortune, just shop around a bit.

I'd forgotten about this thread. Got Lost on PS3 now (didn't have a PS3 at the time I bought the PC version). Cost me a fiver. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif I never did finish Lost on the PC but maybe I'll get around to it on the PS3.
On a totally different note (pretty much), can anyone recommend some good PS3 games that aren't rated higher than a 12? We like stuff like Lost, Uncharted (which is 15/18) and Little Big Planet. Need more stuff that's suitable for the youngest family member!
