The GTX 590 is now available in my shop. I had planned to buy it for CoD. In the 1C forum it was mentioned that CoD was compatible with dual GPU's. The GTX 590 is a bi-GPU board that has excellent performance with very low noise impact compared to the AMD/ATI one which is horribly noisy.
But now after the incredible "epilepsy filter" story (btw shame on UBI) I am now very doubtfoul if this board will work with CoD. I do not know if this dual GPU board is equivalent to an SLI type architecture but compatibility with the released CoD version maybe an issue. Hope that some tests will be done with dual GPU solutions.
In the mean time wait and see before buying board and game.

An Nvidia Gs-8400 would probably smooth the
"stutters" a little better... http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_eek.gif

Quote from Guru3D's review "Pretty much NVIDIA in a nutshell took two of their best GPUs, placed them onto one card, topped it off with a very nice cooler and called it a single solution graphics card. Internally on that card however a small NF200 chip functions as a PCI Express bridge in-between the two GPUs and sure, that means SLI in full effect."

Same question here.
Seriously considering that card for new PC but want to know if any current owners with Russian version & SLI having problems (or unable to run at all) without SLI disabled...
And if I did go ahead and get it (on the basis that SLI support would be patched in a some point) - would it be possible to disable one 'core' of a GTX590 to return it to a non SLI configuration?
Any ideas, tech gurus?

I believe its automatic, the process of disabling the core on a dual GPU card. The software will just look at the one core and the other will get very little usage, there is nothing to disable.

I'm expecting one to arrive today. I'm hoping it will eventually put a dent in this hungry code engine.

Very od thing to say of 3D. How is a dual gpu card suppose to work other wise, in their world? That goes both for NVidia and AMD.
