Hello all,
I have been running a dedicated server for about 9 months now and have never got a remote server console to work properly. The built in one I can get to work on a lan but not over the internet. Have tried two 3rd party programs and dont need most of the bells that they offer.
If someone has gotten the built in one to work over the internet I would like to have some help so I can get it setup and working.
Thanks in advance.

I have a while back.Unfortunately I do not remember all the specifics.
I recall it involed copying the dedicated folder to my machine that I was trying to run the console from(I think I only needed some files but copied the whole folder).
It also required an edit of the configs.ini file on the server machine to include what port and what external ip to accept remote from.
Then the console command to connect has a strange syntax as I recall.
Sorry, that is about all I can remember at the moment.

If I remember right is was the file name followed by the IP number to connect to, but as I said no go over the internet, only over LAN.
Hoping someone can come along and lead me by the hand. lol :-)

LMAO, I am glad you all can not see me as my face is blood red. I went back and reread the read me files and now have it working over the internet and there was only one little problem, the port I openned on the router as UDP and not TCP as it needed to be. Even have the windowed version working. lol
Thanks, as I would still be in the dark if I had not posted here. lol
