It looks normal for about 15-30 seconds when I start the game up and then it goes all blurry like the above picture.

Lol that's the strangest glitch I've ever seen. The only explanation I could think of would be something went wrong in the download. Maybe you should uninstall and reinstall.

I have the retail disc, I tried uninstall/reinstall with no effect.

I've had the same problem, fiddling a litte with the settings gave me back my game.
BTW: I use a MacBook Pro 15" (2.33Ghz, 4GB, X1600 with 256MB)
