Game keeps scrolling to a corner of the map by itself

Hi,

I'm having this problem where at the beginning of the map the game will auto-scroll all the way to one corner of the map, usually the bottom right. It happens in the skirmish mode, I haven't tried other modes yet.

If I move the mouse nothing happens, it looks like the map is trying to scroll where the mouse if going but it keeps snapping back to the corner. If I click on something in the overview (minimap) same thing happens, it starts to move, and then jerks back.

When I zoom all the way out and get the big overview it never stays still it keeps moving around even when the mouse is not at a corner, or edge of the screen.

After a while is goes back to the way it's supposed to be, this is after I bang around on the keyboard a bit, after i've been pressing random move keys (wasd) on the keyboard for a while the map starts working they way it is supposed to. But the zoomed-out overview still doesn't work.

This makes it very hard and annoying to play, is there a way I can fix it?

I had the same issue with the demo, and the full game was working fine for a few hours before this started again. I think it may have started after I changed the screen resolution, when I changed it back the problem didn't go away.

If you have "Border Scrolling" enabled in the Gameplay Options your mouse could be the cause of your problem.

It seems I am having this same problem. The moment I start a new map in any mode, the camera automatically scrolls all the way to the right, and I can't stop it at first. When trying to scroll using the mouse or the keyboard, it appears like it tries to, but snaps right back to the right-most of the map. After hitting the movement keys a few times, it finally gives me control. Also, the first time I hit Del or End to rotate, it sticks in that rotation direction. I have to hit Del or End 2 or 3 times to get it stop and then it rotates like it should.

The last time I played the game, this was not an issue. Everything was fine. Today, I have this issue. I'm using the same mouse and keyboard I was using last time when it worked. When I launched the game today, an update was downloaded and installed. I can't help but wonder if that has something to do with it.

I have been playing for a week or so now with no problem until today. Same issue, camera just scrolls sideways and the overview map is busted. Same mouse, keyboard,; only change is patch 1.05 today, but I had a normal game after the patch so I can't say the patch is the cause.

After writing that I was able to get it under control. I'm not saying all these steps are necessary but it's what I did and it worked. I unchecked border scrolling in the gameplay options menu, closed the game, restarted the computer, shut down any background programs that i didn't need running, launched the game, loaded the map, then re-check border scrolling in the options menu.
