I found a new Haze video with Dave Doak and at the end he mentions TimeSplitters 4! He doesn't say much but it still got me a little excited actually hearing him mention it lol.

Yeah, I've seen this already. His comments on TS4 are interesting, although I wonder if it can point to anything but it being multiplayer only? I'm probably taking him too literally, and it's obviously still in the conceptual stage, but that would surely hack many people off. On the other hand it may be a great way to go... ?
It's miles off yet, but I am excited that it's finally on the move.
Haze first, Secret Project: Lucasarts next, then TS4...

How can you be sure about that?

... because Haze was announced first, SP:L next and TS4 last. TS4 is only just being planned while SP:L was announced August 06. It ain't rocket-science.

TS4 (http://www.computerandvideogames.com/article.php?id=169743)
Judging by this TS4 could be here by next Christmas.
I can't wait.

Yes!
Honestly cob, that sounds a bit early if they are only in the concept stages now - that would only give them twelve months, which isn't long enough. Despite the quote above, I wouldn't expect to see this until sometime in 2009. Doesn't mean it couldn't be early to mid-2009 though...

But we know more about TimeSplitters 4 than we know about the secret project tbh. I think we'll see TS4 end of 2008. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Huh? By their own admission TS4 is still in the conceptual stages, that means they're still thinking about it.
I would hope they've done more than think about the Lucasarts game since it was announced more than a year ago. I expect we'll see that game next year, TS4 the year after.
EDIT: Mapmaker.
Tell me there's a mapmaker in it and I'll shut up, honestly. Mapmaker! I seem to have developed virtual diarrhoea... Monkeys! Nuts. Argh! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif Can you tell I'm happy?

Funny thing is that R one-oh-seven on the FRD website said a while about that TS4 would come out in 2010. Obviously, at the time he was just pulling the leg of the person who had written in the question, but it sounds quite feasible.

the single-player campiagn in Timesplitters Future Perfect was wicked, and bloody funny, i would really like to see Timesplitters 4 have a single player campaign, even if it is short, because the multi-player will be fantastic (i'm sure of it)

Yes but they have already done three TS games so they don't need to do a whole new concept as they did for Haze and probably for the LA game. All that really needs to be done is to make the engine playable on PS3, 360 etc and then update the graphics and stuff to make it more "this-gen".
lol I wish it were so. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Also, I think that given the fact that so far all the chatter we've heard from FRD about working with UbiSoft being a grand experience, we likely won't have to wait for them to find a publisher. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

I hope that if and when TS4 comes out the controls are as smooth as they were on TS:FP for PS2. Every FPS I've played since seems jerky by comparison. It's like there's a millisecond where your character is encased in a Jello mold trying to move the weapon and it suddenly breaks free and moves...until you change the direction you're aiming and you've got that Jello barrier again. Unfortuantely TS:FP on the Gamecube was like this, it just didn't handle like the PS2. I also hope that the control in Haze is silky smooth as TS:FP. The pressure sensitivity was spot on. Anyone get what I'm trying to say?

I hear you on that. Needless to say I dread console FPS experiences with the exception of Time Splitters. Not to mention that other FPS developers always conveniently forget that there is an entire spectrum of colors and lights at their disposal. If I have to walk through another dank, dusty corridor with nothing but a flash light and generic assault rifle fighting aliens in various shades of brown... but I digress.

Every single person I have sat down with the game has come away saying how 'right' the controls feel - a few of the previews even mention this. Should give you some confidence we've got them right again. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
