For all of you whom are having trouble with Vista issues and playing online where your PnkbstrB.exe keeps failing and getting "mysteriously" removed, heres your fix:

There are one of two culprits to this situation, and I found I was forced to disable both in order to stop Vista from eating my PnkBstrB.exe.

They are Windows Defender, and Windows Firewall. I found that eventhough I told both to leave PnkBstrB.exe alone, one of the two would eat the .exe. I also found that even after adding the exe to my windows Firewall list it was still giving me heartbeat issues with PnkBstrB.exe.

Heres how to disable them both:
Goto Start-
Run-
Type services.msc-

Scroll down to "Windows Defender", right-click it, click stop, then go to properties and disable it. Do the same for Windows Firewall.

Some things to note, disabling Windows Defender may disable ANY firewalls from working on your computer, and disabling Windows Defender "might" disable ANY virus scanners on your computer, third party or not, from working.

[Edit]: Some side things to note, I also have NAP and UAC disabled on my Vista 64bit. Not sure if that matters but it disables the need to run things in administrator.

Sorry http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif, just didn't want this hitting page 2 in the first 8 minutes.
