Oh I had alot of good times on SOCOM II. We would sometimes not play and just voice chat for hours, I remember we would just be in there and watch Elimidate. Why? no idea, it was just fun.

I don't play much anymore, but before I really stopped playing I was trying to improve my sniping. I was getting pretty good. It would be awesome to get back into it. Would be nice to get my *** handed to me on my PS2 for a change. :P

athena..in socom 2 there are about 100 servers to pick from...and once your in a server there are about 50 games in each server.. no chance of finding them that way..thats why i asked a more indepth way

I just got back in town from the Radio Music Awards, so I didn't get to respond to this earlier...

YES, I would love to play SOCOM II with some cool people who are down with the Frag Doll way. I'll actually be on tonight 9:30PM - 11:30 PM PST, and close to the same time Wednesday and Thursday nights.

After that it's all preparation for the Halloween weekend though! San Francisco, here I come!

not blasphemy at all. go with wut ur comfortable with. both are hella fun. and imo its the best tactical shooter out there.

Socom 2 is a better game, more maps, etc. than Socom 1. I bought Socom 1 with the intention of playing it more, but found that there are more cheats on there than ANY OTHER GAME added to the NEXT game times 2 (why can't people play without cheating is beyond me). I am pretty hardcore when it comes to Socom, and can honestly say that it will contribute to lack of sleep, deliriousness (is that a word), and hallucinations (I have fallen asleep and still felt myself twitching trying to avoid errant grenade tosses). The only concern would be some of the "lag" issues that you either seem to get use to or snap your controller in half because of. Either way, it's worth the ($19.99)? now if your interested in getting into it. I am actually looking to get into some other online games, but haven't had enough time to investigate other options (CURSE YOU Socom and Madden)!

I was looking to see if anyone else was interested in getting schooled in the gentle art that is Socom 2 (that would be a challenge).

Yea, I used to play like a religion. Hours on end. I remember I once woke up with the controller on the floor, me in bed, my PS2 on the main SOCOM II menu. I was like WTF. I fell asleep. I remember I was playing late in to the morning hours, I was feeling tired, and I was playing, I was half asleep, so I dozed off for a bit and all of a sudden I hear a scream in my ear, I jumped and fell off my chair. o: SOCOM II is pretty kick ***.

Unfortunately I keep getting an error saying it's unable to create patch archive when I try to update the game for online play. After the process I've gone through to get this set up I'm going to have to give kudos to Microsoft for doing a much better job with XBox Live. =)

nah u definitly got skillz. and i saw the immediate improvement after we let u know how to switch the buttons for the rate of fire. as i said, it was a major complaint in the first socom, so they fixed it^^. last night was pretty sad for us. our clan leader Sum1 broke the clan. he's really good, he just didnt play well. other things on his mind. that guy u saw, Kurmit, ive played him since Socom 1. a very fine player. his brother Molson is ridiculous. (extremely good). i especially appreciated how u shut down Smashley. she is touted as a good player, just not as good as Calistah^^. but anyhow i should be on tonight. im sure i can get Gato and Mayhem in as well. would REALLY like to see Boo in there and possibly Vision.

I told you I was impressed with how quickly you grasped the control and how accurate you were with the M16. Ashley is a very good player and it was nice to see someone knock her back down a few pegs =).

I played around with several guns last night too. I think I finally ended up using the M4SD, or something like that the last few rounds. I really like having the scope and the silencer together. I'll probably need to find something that I can use for the longer range maps though.

Jinx, check out the friends button before you go and join games, I tried to send you a request last night and it may still be there. Once you have someone on your friends list you can see what server and game they're in. =)

No worries girl, compliments were well deserved! FYI regarding the friends invite; if you don't accept it prior to loggin off, it won't be there when you log back on (something else they need to fix). The M4A1SD is the gun I believe that you were using and yes, it is a good accurate weapon (just not as powerful as some of the other options). Also, at full speed that weapon becomes less accurate so if you see someone, slow down to increase its accuracy.
