View Full Version : clicking on MP closes the game why?

on the main menu, if i click on Multiplayer, it will take me to the next screen which is the "checking for patches" screen, right afterwards i will go to the UBI log in/register screen. At that point for some reason the game just fades to a black screen and closes itself. Any ideas why this would be happening? I just finished opening all the ports the game said to. HELP!

okay, found another problem that is slowly killing my gamign experence!
The first time i played the game, i left the games setting ( the graphics, sounds , etc ) all to the default level. After wondering what settings i could run, i pump them up to the highest setting to test the FPS. The highest setting is to jumpy to play smoothly and i choose to lower them back to a lower setting. I have gone to both the main menu and the in-game options menu to try and set these back to default.
Problem is, the wont return to the default
setting. I will change the graphics or whatever i was restoring, i will get the screen that says you must restart the game to finish the setting changes. So i close down the game after clicking "APPLY". After bringing the game back up, my game is still stuck on the highest settings. No matter what i have tried, i cant get them to revert back. IF anyone else has this problem, or a solution please let me know. Thanks!

hehe i once again fixed my own problems. Thanks anyways for anyone who read the message.

p.s. the solution to my problem is that for some reason the game seems to need administrative privliges in order to run correctly. At first i was getting a NULL error, then the other two problems came about. I simpily loaded the game up along with the patch under one of the name on my comupter that had admin access ( my parents took my admin access off for some odd reason ) this MAY help.
