Sorry Carny .. the Vegas 2 forums are dead and you will not get any help from Ubisoft!

Your problem is likely hardware related or you have a corrupt file in Vegas 2!

Check the temperature on your CPU!

Make sure your PSU has enough power especially on the 12 volt rail(s)!

Check GPU temperature, but if it is your GPU you should get artifacts or corrupt graphics before a crash!

Run a memory test to make sure your memory is good!

Any of these issues can cause the crash you are having.

A cheap, poor quality, under powered PSU can cause this problem and more!

Hi, I had same sort of problem what Graphic card you useing and what size psu do you have.
I got myself new graphics card "no change"
I sorted it by going from 450w psu to 700w

This is one of the reasons why UBI can churn shoddy games every 6 months. People will buy it, and move on to the next game if they are not capable of play it... that easy, no attempts to get a refund or let the Retailer they have lost a customer for the future because of that game.

Then again... I may be wrong!

ive been having some strange problems with this game ,things started with the game crashing (general protection fault history) error message, then a quit to desktop with no error messages, to b.s.o.d without a definite cause,to the pc,being powered off whilst playing online,so i updated to dx9c november re-dist, and no real change,then i updated the visual basic c++ from the shipped 2005 to 2008 vers, played yesterday for several hours without a problem,i will monitor my game for a while longer if the recent probs have gone i will post my findings as it may help somone
