will extra gig make a diff.hardware queston

I only know enough about computers to play my sims. Prices on p4 cpu has dropped almost in half. Will an upgrade to 3.06 w/533 fsb give me a good boost? curently

2.2 gig P4 w/400 fsb
1 gig ddr2100 ram
ati9700pro
audigy 2
40 gig 7200 rpm HD
bla,bla

I know HD is small butI only play IL2 FB .NASCAR2003,Tiger Woods2004 2/3 of HD still left. oh yea P4PE ASUS MB.


I run Hunter sugested settings and frps drop to teens in BLACK DEATH track. Will the 3.06 pcuwmore fsb be any help

BTW I dont run in PERFECT. $231.00 after $30. rebate

You should notice a fair bit of improvement with the new CPU. I upgraded to a 2.8 from a 1.9 and I can now run perfect mode passably in most missions and I run at excellent settings with 4xAA/8xAnisotropic with no problems the rest of the time. Pre upgrade I had no perfect mode and had to run at 2xAA/2xAnisotropic for FB to be playable.

Who knows ,now maybe I can run 40 cars in NASCAR with candy on! Maybe even "PERFECT" inFB!
