not enough ram and cpu is also not really good enough. Vegas really needs 1.5 to 2gb to run well and athlon64 3500+ is minimum for cpu.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Please read any of the stickied posts at the top of the list that pertain to your problem before asking questions. The minimum requirements are clearly state as 1 gig of ram with 2 recomended:

Yes, you need at least one gig and it runs much better on 2.

your joking, right? The min reqs say at least 1 Ghz RAM, the fact you can even start the game is lucky. Invest in more RAM, most game coming out now are going to require at least 1-2 ghz, which isn't that absurd considering that most new MB support up to 8ghz in conjuction with Vista<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Well I can tell ya one thing though...I've also got an AMD 3500+ with 1GB ram and a 7900GT, but when I bought that extra 1GB of ram, it didnt changed 1 thing. No higher FPS, no smoother gameplay, nothing...Luckly I could bring it back and got my money back.

I guess this game doesn't really need that extra ram to make a difference. (even with 2GB ram and then alt-tab while playing, followed by opening a new program in windows and going back in resulted in a CTD)

Pure processor and gfx card orientated this game imo...<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Someone should do some memory usage monitoring. My copy of Vegas is still on its way.

With GRAW, you had to do some .ini file tweaking for the game to make good use of the extra 1GB of RAM.

Before you start with a snooty comment by saying "you're joking right" you might want to actually give the OP factual information other than the info you just made up.

The min requirements do not say you need 1GHz ram. It says you need one GIGABYTE of ram, and 2 GIGABYTES for recommended.

And Windows Vista does not have a RAM advantage over Windows XP. All 32-bit versions of Windows XP AND Windows Vista have a limitation of 4GB of ram. In Windows XP x64, you have a much larger limitation of 128G of ram, which is the same for the Ultimate version of Windows Vista. The Home edition of Vista that is 64-bit will allow for 8GB of ram, and with every step upward, the RAM support gets larger.

So to the OP, 1.5 G might be fine, but your Athlon XP processor is going to cause you some problems. If you upgrade your ram, you will probably be able to play this game at a lower res with less hiccupping, regardless of the CPU requirements, but it will still not run like the developer intended since you will still be running 640x480.

Also an AMD 64 3500+ is not the minimum. My brother has a 3500+ (soon to be a X2 4600+) and my friend has a 3000+ and both of them have 7950GT's and they both run almost identicle. You can get a 3000-3500+ AMD 64 with mobo for under 100$ nowadays. As long as you have PC3200 you should be able to use it in the new setup. Only thing you have to worry about is power.

your right, I had a brain fart(workin on only an hor sleep) but the point is still the same, not enough RAM. As far as my first comment, sorry, but they have the system requirements in a sticky, on the <b style="color:black;background-color:#a0ffff">UBI[/b] store website, on the back of the box and in the booklet. There is no reson to come in asking will it run, especially if he already has the game.

As far as tha max ram, XP only supports 2GB I believe, while vista is going to able to support more, Not sure how much more, but more. I only stated that new MB are able to hold up to 8GB of RAM, which would be useless if the OS's don't plan on supporting that much<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

ah.. Understood. Just chaps my behind to see people getting flippant with people on the board when they don't deliver correct info, regardless of if they knew it or not.

It's not about the type of operating system, but more about whether or not it is 64 bit or 32 bit. 64-bit operating systems (XP, Server, and Vista) can run up to 128G of ram. 32-bit operating systems (XP, Server, and Vista) can only run 4G of ram, which gives 2G to the kernel and 2G to applications. This can be achieved by enabling x86PAE mode, but it is still not as good as having true PAE which is a 64-bit processor running on 64-bit OS. It gets pretty confusing but rest assured, once Vista comes out, the 64-bit versions will be able to run much larger amount of physical memory.

Sorry to jump your chit, been having a rough day at work and don't mean anything by it
