hehe my second system pales in comparison to the server computers ive seen

think 1 core 2 duo extreme processor then multiply that by 10 ive seen server comps with 10 cpus and around 128gb of ram and around 4 TB of data (4000 gb) and dont even think how many fps those servers get.. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/touche.gif enough for me to say my 2nd system sucks.

09-09-2006, 08:11 PM
Yeah but those aren't home computers those are work computers for buissnies http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/typing.gif and what such. Your 2nd system is still awesome. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/metal.gif

And elitecommando your 2nd system is way better then mine. I mean Pentium 4's are already getting ready to be out dated and i bought this system less then 6 months ago! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_eek.gif Also, Do you know how to install a new processer into a computer?

elitecomando
09-09-2006, 08:36 PM
installing a new cpu is fairly easy for amd the new socket 775 are a little harder because they use sensitive touch pads and if ur off by 1 mm or more ull short circuit everything and kill ur cpu before u even start up the comp, im an computer guru im uber at building custom comps and both my systems i built from scratch, the hardest thing for me was to install a phase change cooling system to my cpu because i had to screw the screws at perfect pressure otherwise i will crack the core of the cpu,

http://www.pcstats.com/articleview.cfm?articleID=1793
thats my cooler cost me around 1000$ and it keeps my 4.0ghz core 2 duo extreme edition at around -20 degrees celcius.

Mine is a $3,700 HOME system that would take up too much space to list all the options and such.
I'd rather take up space talking about SH3 rather than about what I have for a system, what other "games" I play, what I look like, and other off-topic items.

Mine is a home built system uisng the following

Msi Neo2 plat mb, socket 939.
FX-53 AMD CRP
2 Gig DDR 400
Augidy 2 sound card
Memorex DVD +/- RW drive
1 80 Gig IDE drive
2 80 Gig Sata Drives

ATI 1600x 512 meg video card.

I built this system from scatch a little over 2 years ago.

cost me about 1500.

no plans on upgrading soon, unless something comes out that makes me turn down options to get decent framerates.

This system runs everything I can throw at at max with frame rates well above the min of 30 that I fine acceptable. most games run near the 60 to 100 FPS mark.

only one runs lowe r and that its MS train sim and its a steady 32 fps.

i'd crank up that PSU if i were you, most PCI-E cards need 450w or above (at least 500 for SLi) I know you can get a nice 580w one off newegg for like 58.99 or sumthin, but I dont have a link on me right now....

dirtracer75

I just got a new one http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Pent. D, 3.1 ghz. (yep, dual 3.1 ghz processors, liquid cooled)
4 gig 5200 ddr RAM
Windows XP media
NVidia GForce 7900 @512 mb PCI express (I should have went for the duel card system)
Creative X-Fi 5.1 surround sound
1.0 kw ps
500 gb RAID dual hard drives
21" flat panal moniter

This thing simply rocks. I replaced a 2.9 ghz AMD with 2gb ram, and an ATI 256 mb card. The only issue, is the old system played SH3 better. For some reason the new system is slow at 1024 speed. The surround sound does rock with SH3 though.

Hiya RJ, yeah take a look:
http://www.nvidia.com/page/quadrofx.html
I do find i have lighting problems with SH3 though, i am hoping SH4 and NVDIA find a solution.
BTW its the quadro 3450/4000, and its lightning quick, even when i am at 1024 TC, it keeps up, and i am very happy with it.
