Hoping someone can make a skin of this plane:
http://www.fleetairarmarchive.net/Squadrons/1841_andCorsairprofileHammyGray.jpg
It's a Mk IV Corsair flown by Lt. Robert Hampton Gray, he was a Victoria Cross winner and died during an attack on a Japanese DD on August 9, 1945 just before the end of the war.
You can find the story here:
http://www.phideltatheta.org/famousphis/military/CMOH/gray.html
The tail code letters were KD658 which is under the ROYAL NAVY.
I'm hoping to make a mission recreating the last flight of this flier. So if possible I was hoping for 3 more skins with different fuselage codes. Lt. Gray flew #115 and I was hoping for #118, #117 and #121... you can make up the tail code letters, they should just be similiar to the KD658....Hoping someone is up for the challenge.
Thanks.

CdnSpits, from the profile, I'm not sure about the camo scheme, and can't read the text (though it's probably standard Vought detail), but here's a first cut (below). Profiles of RAAF and RNZAF F4Us show standard light undersides, but they weren't apparent from the profile you posted.
Maybe someone can provide more detail in this thread.
Send me your email (PT, if you'd like), and I'll send a zip with the skin.

Good lookin' skin, Hammster. Yours is much further along and you've obviously done the research. I'm putting mine on hold.
CdnSpits, looks like your problem is solved. Cheers.

WOW....glad to see you guys are working on it.
I think they all look great!
Hammster and UF colors look right. I actually have seen the real aircraft in Hamilton once at an airshow and can tell you that the paintscheme was a very dark navy blue similiar to the American navy blue if not the same dark navy blue scheme
Any chance you guys can do some squadron mates for this aircraft...I was hoping to use this skin in an FMB...
How about Fuselage codes 117, 118 and 121. The tail codes can be anything you want. I would just use the KD 658 and make up whatever i.e KD 657, KD 659 and so on...
Cheers!!
