Bad installation loop

Hi,

i bought AC Brotherhood yesterday for PC, however, it leaves me in a bad installation loop i cant seem to fix.

The installation went 100%, to then try and install microsoft visuall c++ redistributable. However it froze at this point, so i opend task manager and quit the installation.

After trying to reinstall the game, it now leaves me in this loop, constantly asking me, if it should remove the game (aka deinstall). This happens when i normally put the cd into cpu and click in install menu in autorun.exe. It asks me to remove over and over again. I click yes, then it seeminly tries to remove, but however, it don't. The files are still there after that procedure.

What should i do, besides reinstalling my complete Windows 7. There must be a way to avoid this annoying loop, so that i can install the game again. Any tips ?

You must first try to use any Registry tool to remove the Game file entries from your Computer, as well as try to manually delete any game leftovers from your PC. The installation was interrupted, and the game was not properly removed/installed from your system, so this is creating a problem.

Try to delete any game registry entries, if possible, and also use any REG tool you may have e.g. 'TuneUp Uninstall Manager'. Use this to first remove the game from your PC.

thanks for the reply and the link. This helped. At least i can now reinstall the game.

But..it lead me to the same install error again. It is about the "visual c++ 2005 Redistributable Package", which gives me an error (1935).

I searched for this and found no real solution. Also here at the forum the search function did not bring me any solution.

edit: ok i did something different this time and the game seems to start. However, there was definitely something wrong with the vc redistributable installation. It froze, but this time i just killed the task related to it, and not the install shield wizzard, which i killed last time as well. Now the game seems to start.
