Wow, did you make all that flash yourself?

"All-Flash A Fast Track to Failure" (http://www.sitepoint.com/article/flash-fast-track-failure)

It's written for businesses, but the majority of it applies here.

I think all-flash sites generally make for poor user experiences. I feel that an all-flash website is the same as an all AJAX website: a poor design choice. An all AJAX / Flash web application is a different matter, though.

There's a typo under your profile Jackie. It says, "will making" instead of "will be making".

Pretty sweet though, awesome layout! Glad to see y'all are moving up. XD

Thanks Melonie.

I'm having like serious sound issues. Before I upload the site, it works fine. Then when I upload it..it's gone. AURGH! I can't seem to find the problem. I have a feeling I will be stuck at 75% done for awhile. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

Should the site be really that big? It takes up my complete page... (I am using opera)

Wouldn't Melonie be there, or is she not a fisherist? Anyways there is a lot of animation and flash and what not. Good site though.

Yeah I agree. Really bad for the search engines too.

Feedback here it comes...

1) Don't make it page stretch (I guess that is why it takes up the full page).
2) More content (yeah I know it's a WiP but just so you know).
3) Better quallity photo's? I know you must want it but some are just to blurred.
4) Make the tekst look clearer (for example at the contact button and the top where www.f...s.com (http://www.f...s.com) stands.)
5) A photo frame? In the same style of course.
6) A guestbook? More interaction for users, like news messages. Results from games you all played? Just some thoughts to make/keep the site interesting.

I hope you can do something with it.

Jackie I find the text pretty hard to read with that background. :S

Thanks Bertus and Sith. I appreciate the feedback. )

On my TFS site I have a webmaster who does all this for me, so when something goes wrong I go crying to him and he fixes everything for me. This is the first site I have ever done on my own so this is new for me.

Thanks for the extra ideas Bertus...I wonder how much of that I can implement...as soon as I get the sound working!

Just look in tutorials and then all things shouldn't be that hard... It helped me allot in my "omg I want to know flash"-days.

But what program are you using?

Melonie is a friend-o-Fisherist LOL >hugs Melonie<

And Bertus...I'm using a flash site called Trendy Flash Builder. The whole thing is more or less a template so I have to learn how to edit around it. Which Im not sure how to do which is one reason why I can't get the sound working. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/bigtears.gif

isn't that easier to use html and dhtml.
You can still get good effects with DHTML.
