animals in far cry 2

What really excitted me when you guys said it was in afrika was the fact of animals,so my question is willl there be animals,herbivores,carnivores hunting you and each other??

So those awesome hyenas in the concept art won't make it into the game? A bit of a bummer, but I can see creating a functioning ecosystem up to a predatory level being too much work for an insignificant reward.

That would most likely be the reason indeed. Not only would the carnivores have to attack herbivores, also some carnivores would have to attack people coming close too. This all would be nice for some kind of hunting game but probably a bridge too far for Far Cry 2.
