If anybody noticed during the trailer, the units coming out of the Bradleys were wearing shoulder insignia. One of these which was seen on several units was the All American patch (http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/8/8a/82_ABD_SSI.svg/431px-82_ABD_SSI.svg.png) of the 82nd Airborne division (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/82nd_Airborne_Division).

So far all we have seen or read about is mechanized infantry. Why couldn't we have airborne (82nd), air assault (101st), or light (75th) infantry units? I think it would add to the tactical situation to be able to airdrop soldiers and tanks behind enemy lines, or have hundreds of units assault an enemy position from helicopters.

What does everybody else think?

yea that would be nice except there should be some wepons against them to make it more balanced like flack cannons and stuff on bases. Also, we should have transport helicoptors that can transport squads too.

Yeah, that's Air Assault (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Air_Assault) (in Vietnam it was Airmobile). That's what units like the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) and spec ops groups like Delta Force and the Rangers do.

Sounds like a sweet idea. We can only hope that it will be incorporated into the game! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

Sweet idea. But is 1000 men battle too small to fit them in? By the way I am new here.

you'll prob find that the back story behing the 82nd guys is that they just get parachutted into the battle before it starts sought of thing

I want doghfights and airmess all the time. Mess and war are good to each other. And yeah shooting down the planes that bring the soldiers seems quite a good idea, that would make the game even more interessting!
