Patch 4.08vm

Ok guys now im a bit stumped, i did the download of the patch, (in exe.)tried sending the file to, Il-Sturmovik 1946 and got this:

Any clue, on how to plug the patch into Il-sturmovik 1946? Step by step instructions would be appreciated.

Instead of dubble clicking the 'IL2_1946_408m' application, try right mouse click, run as Administrator. And do select 'Yes to All' when asked to Overwrite files.

Ok, try dragging the 'IL2_1946_408m' onto you desktop and running it from there instead of from inside winrar.

Me thinks you got a zip file into a .rar file, or vice versa.
Which appears to be too complex for your system, or you, or maybe both...

No worries though: try and download the patch from here: Link to 4.08m (http://patches.ubi.com/il2_1946/il2_1946_408m.exe)

This is a self-extracting archive, once downloaded, doubleclick it, it will ask you where to extract the files, then point it to your 1946 installation.

As I see in your screenshots, you've got 1946 installed in (..)\program files (x86)\(...) which may lead to issues later on.
But, that's for later, first try the download I linked above, see how that goes.
