I've spent hours on the internet looking for a solution for this issue, I've seen a few people with X1950's with the same issue, I'm hoping someone knows how to fix it.

basically, the blurryness isn't the issue most people talk about, somehting to do with the AI where things are a bit fuzzy, the game plays fine as long as I don't go into any menu's, as soon as i do everything goes blurry, except the hud items and icons telling me there's meat in the smudge below etc.

Other than that it's literally like looking at the game through a glass of water, everything is totally indestinguishable..

It's ok if I don't go into any menu's. trouble is this means I can't play multiplayer, which is what I bought copy #2 for, which is why i'm running it onmy old machine with the X1950 pro (AGP)...

Woah, that is blurry.

Have you tried disabling some of the graphic options when on the main menu? Start with low (or disabled) on literally everything and see if it happens then. If it doesn't, try enabling each option one by one. Maybe it might be the Depth of Field setting in-game or another specific filter that's causing your card to go títs up.
