Hey guys, I was just wondering. I was watching the 2nd version of the E3 Demo, on the big screen where it is choppy and an AK-47 pops up during it.
I see that all that happens is you drop in, fire your colt at an enemy MG-42 gunner and a downed C-47 comes and takes him out.
I want to know is there going to be know for the first D-Day level, and exactly HOW is it? If you could, explain it to me word for word.
Thanks!

Well, I can't answer your question because I don't understand what you're asking. Maybe you could use better grammer?
As for the AK-47; WWII is a wee-bit before that weapon's time.

This post contains spoilers, read at your own will. The game starts out towards the end of the 8 days. In a large firefight, the main character is knocked out. The rest of the game is a flashback. As for the AK 47 in that trailer was filmed from another game at the E3 convention. Hope this helps clear some things out for you.

Ahh, roger that.

**** people, he had a question and you turn it into the e3 demo ****. hes asking about the game, and yes as he said its a flashback, but it flashes farther back then just the d day jump. if you look in the new trailer, it has bits of film of the men standing in front of the planes not even fully packed yet. that means the game start all the way back in boot camp. probably the tutorial, oh big suprise. but i bet its bigger than that, not just learnign the controls but learning and bonding with the other men.

I hope that the jump into D-Day is the first level. It would give so much more feel to the game, plus explain how you gathered your squad and so on. The Flash back thing bugs me. Maybe it is just that there are scripted points during previous missions that turn into flashbacks later?
I dunno. The d-day jump scene from MOHAA Spearhead was awesome, so i would think it be really cool with this newer game.
Also, you sure that the AK47 wasn't just a MP44 from a weird angle or something, cause I still don't quite notice what your talking about.

The video in question was from E3 2004, first E3 video of Brothers in Arms. It was extremely poor quality, and had some footage of STALKER randomly showing up during the taping, which must have been an overlay from the camera. Hence, the AK47 appeared for maybe a few frames at a time.

Parachutes were a very new technology, at least for effective use. The soldier had very limited control over the parachute. A few months back, the devs posted that there will be gameplay aspects during the jump. It will not be a scripted cutscene. Sorry if I spoiled the storyline for some of yall, but you can't say I didn't warn you.

Whoah...the whole game is a flashback? That's kind of not cool because if your guy is already dead it takes some of the fun out of trying to survive. I can see that they're trying to be different and it sounds creative, but it would be better if the flashback started right before he got hit by a bullet. That way you dont know if he'll live or die.

if you wanna see the whole jump scene just go look on ign under the pc version of brothers in arms.
As for that AK-47 flash, I'm almost sure that was from a Stalker: Shadows of Chernobyl video (that's the other game I'm looking forward to).

Obviously, you don't know what you are talking about. An effective parachute had not been developed until the 1940's. Their control was limited, as I said before. The concept of a parachute has been around since the 1700's when some scientist jumped out of a two story house withn umbrella. Needless to say his landing landing was not too comfortable. Just take a look at some of prototype designs from the 30's.
