Fellas, specially the PS2 gamers here, my brorther M.J need you're help here.
Yesterday he called me on his sattlite phone and he asked me a question.
His Playstaion 2 just ...died,it wouldn't play original games anymore,he explained me thas the lens (eye) cant read anymore games. And that beacause he's stationed on a carrier at this moment flyin F-14 Tomcats, and now he has no way to chill.
I'm,not sure if he still has a garantee on it but the console is about 3 years old and it's the small one,and if he has no garantee anymore does anyone know what it cost to fix it.
please respont http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/halo.gif .

I thought PS2's just had a habit of breaking on you...mine did. Same thing happened where it would just say Disk Read Error. I think the guarantee for the PS2 was only a year....as for the cost of fixing it? Dont have a clue, never got mine fixed, it had a long run, but I imagine its pretty cheap to fix these days.

Could be,but the thing right now is......he still has to wait another 7 months to have time to get it fixed.

I'm a little confused about that myself.
Have you guys been using bad language http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-mad.gif?
And besides that, I got my PS2 the day they came out. It is like 7 years old and still works fine. I was playing Brothers in Arms on it earlier today(great game by the way http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif ). I use it every month, but I seem to take better care of my gaming systems than most people I know so that might be why mine still works.
I'm not sure about the repair process for them though.

News flash.
i just recieved his PS2 and it's sooo strange, does any sony dudes out here ever heared or seen in this case a ratteling Playstation??? any1,..i have, It looks intact, well intact if you inmagine that it spend 36 hours on differant navy and Marine vessels and on top of that being shot of a carrier in a ofsprey (spelling) with an average of a 136 MPH and packed with guy's who absolutly don't care what's inside the cargo http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-indifferent.gif so you can inmagine that a PS2 with a few dent's here and there woulda be broken..........http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif......it ain't....http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-surprised.gif it's still working!, believe it or not!, it acctually works, sparky ( my brothers call name) sended me a letter how to get it fixed.
You have to inmagine that you are holding the small and compact version of the PS2.
The lights work with no problem, it turns on and off with no problem, but if you wanna play a game there's the sting in the thing.
The flap/draw (dont know how Sony dudes call it) opens perfectly, insert a game, then close the flap/draw and wait till the game is loaded,...it won't load, you'll see it loading and hear it loading, but the PS2 will go to the Memory disk thingy with a loaded game ready to play!.
No that ain't right, i'll check a game store tommorow i they can help Sparky anyfurther.
Fingers crossed http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/sadeyes.gif
