Hi all,
I have just finished building my new pc and wanted to continue to use SH3 on it. I installed the sim, applied the retail dvd patch to version 1.3 and started the game, everything is running smooth and without any glitch. Started and completed the naval academy, also no problems or glitch. Started a new career with the U-Flotille Weddingen on Sept.1, 1939 from Wilhelmshaven, everything is working fine and looks ok UNTIL I receive the first radio message from the BDU that England is now considdered an enemy. At this point the sim crashes to the desktop and the message "....encountered a problem, and needs to close....". This happens everytime regardless of patrol grid and/or time compression and regardless whether the "ModEnabler" and mods and/or SHCommander 2.4 is used.
System specs:
ASUS A8N32-SLI Deluxe
939 Socket AMD 4200+ 64bit dual core
Two ASUS/NVIDIA GeForce 7800GTX 512Mb SLI
Creative Labs Soundblaster X-FI Extreme
2Gb Dual Channel DDR RAM
WinXP-Pro SP2
Also tried to play the sim with CPU Affinity set to one CPU instead of Dual Core and only a single VidCard insread of SLI, same results !
