I have a legit Windows 7 Home Premium install complete with dvd ,how do I transfer over everything (about 400GB including a big Steam account) to a new 1TB hdd ?Whats the order of the procedures ?Presumably if I have the same 7 installed on two hdds Microsoft may cry foul and blacklist the serial number .I want to avoid this and any other hassle .Thanks .
PS Added complication/issue I have the Windows 7 on a separate 50GB partition on the approx 320GB hdd Im currently using.

Get Norton Ghost or similar, with this program you can make a complete backup of your entire HDD, including Master Boot Record etc., and will expand the free space to fill up the new HDD. Inseart new drive along with old, tell Ghost to copy to new HDD (it has a wizard for this IIRC), Ghost does it's thing, then power off PC and remove old HDD, set PC to boot from new drive, VIOLA! The PC will never know the difference other than all the new HDD space. I don't recall what Ghost costs, but it's worth every penny just for that function right there.

Or go to the Acronis website (http://www.acronis.co.uk/homecomputing/download/?source=uk_google&ad=acronis&c=6575216574&k=acronis&gclid=CI684ujls6gCFUtC4QodNFXVAg) and download the trial version of Easy Migrate 7.

Thanks gusy that did the trick nicely -and the Easy Migrate was so easy to use .Took well over an hour to move my approx 450GB onto a 1.5TB hdd though.
