Hi!
I want to ask that is there anyone who matched this two chess engines? Because I have matched Chessmaster 10th with Shredder 8 and Shredder 8 lost the 4match competition to 4:0
Or is there anyone, who knows a result of this Chessmaster brain against a living chess Grandmaster? For example: Garry Kasparov, Kramnik, Lékó?

I don't know if you tested The King vs Schredder on 2 indentical machines, if you didn't the result is incorrect. Chessmaster will always take the bigger piece of the CPU, which gives it an advantage vs Schreeder.
If you played them on 2 indentical machines it's quite surprising that it can beat the 2004 champion so easily http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

So far The King has met GM Larry Christiansen, it won...
The new version of The King hasn't played any official games vs any GM's so far. I'm unaware if the CMX team will organise a match as with CM9k. Perhaps, perhaps not.

Hello Kids !
If you want to play serious matches engine vs.engine with CMX(default) in Deep Fritz 8 GUI (or in other ChessBase-Hamburg GUI) you must use the wb2uci adaptor of Odd Gunnar Malin to translate CMX-a native WB(Winboard protocol) engine as UCI (Unified Chess Interface protocol) engine. This is a very serious task.Take a look to www.uciengines.de (http://www.uciengines.de).

at this time I am testing CM10 vs Fritz8 (in Fritz8 GUI interface). It"s on the same machine AthlonXP M 2500+, and I verify than each program take most of the CPU when it plays. Not an easy task due to the opk you mentioned. I'm using Wb2uci (maybe available at link above). TheKing 3.33 (CM10) seems to be at least at the same level as fritz 8 (but only 2 games are finished up to now). Time control is 40 min for 40 moves, then 40 min for 40 moves then 40 mins...

Thanks for the link. It actually does quite good against many engines. Only against Shredder 8 and Hiarcs 9 does it seem to have big problems with.

I recently played CM10 against the free strong engine Ruffian in CM. Ruffian won. (I think it was 3-1; can't remember). I used a short time control though; maybe 15 min/game, something like that. I can look all this up if folks are interested.

I played the match to see which engine I'd use for my main analyses in Arena. Ruffian had beaten a bunch of other strong engines, and when I had trouble getting TheKing in Arena (this was before I knew about the opk hoops), I played them in CM10. To my surprise, TheKing lost.

Update: my Ruffian v CM10 match was at a time control of 20min/game, and CM started as white:

CM 1 0 1 0 0 0 = =
Ruf 0 1 0 1 1 1 = =

Ruffian wins, 4-2-2 = 5pts
CM loses, 2-4-2 = 3pts
