I'm really hoping that these (http://media.xbox360.ign.com/media/734/734817/imgs_1.html) screenshots are not indicitive of what we'll see in the final version. Some of those look like the original Halo, and others are barely better than Halo2.

Gears of War has set the standard by which true next-gen games will be judged. I'm sure that Bungie will release a true next-gen experience. Somehow, though, I think the beta version won't be anywhere near the final version in terms of graphics.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Considering that the games release is a full year away and looks like this now, i'm guessing the graphics will be completely sick. M$ will spare no expense on thier flagship.

I'm really not. Same with I'm really not downloading the Beta.

Yeah, Halo 3 will be a blast to play with friends for like a day until everybody starts going to Matchmaking. Then, just like Halo 2, it'll be all downhill from there.

And I don't feel like spending another $80 on a game just for a day of fun. I've done it too many times with the 360.

My goal is to never have Halo 3 on my Gamercard.

And I will succeed!!!<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Well Max,

I'm sorry to hear that. Though I can understand your issues with some previous titles. I guess I'll have to join you in Burnout 5 (and get my butt kicked).
Then again, I'll see you in Vegas. Hope we're on the same team. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/784.gif

Brim,

Check the links for those pics, I posted on the previous page (directly from Bungie). What you're looking at, is pictures that have been reduced in size and don't really show the game's full detail. These are shots from an the current build of the game and they might be better, in the final version.

You have to remember though, these are screenshots. Many game's screenshots, don't do the final product justice.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Seems like 95% of the gripes I ever hear about Halo have to do with the online play - mainly the neverending stream of Timmies. I always hear complaints about racist, sexist, and other juvenile garbage. That, and everyone jumping around like idiots with energy swords.

Ergo, the major problems aren't with the game itself, but rather the people you're playing with. Best way to play Halo is with people you know, in custom games where you have more control.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Yeah but if it's anything like Halo 2, nobody I played with ever wanted to do Custom Games, usually because it was difficult to get a good number of people into them since you couldn't search for Custom Games, which is a flaw in the game design.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">
