Turning on heat vision goggles makes Splinter Cell go phttt.

G'day.

I'm playing the PC version of Splinter Cell and finding that if I try to use the heat vision goggles, the game crashes, vanishes and boots me back out to Windows. I've tried changing the corresponding key, which has had no effect. Does anybody know why this is happening and if I can fix it?

That can happen if your video card is not quite up to snuff for the game. Thermal seems to require it to do more processing and for the bottom end it is too much. What kind of video card do you have?

My laptop does the same thing.. it's a new dell and it has ruined my day. Is there anything I can do to make it work? Any windows settings that can temporily free up video process?
