..atleast until I get back from the gym.

Speaking of that, do any of you work out?
I used to run marathons, ride mountain bike, swim, rock climb etc.I was a real studmuffin.
But, since I got married about 4 years ago it kind of fizzled out for some reason.
All I do anymore is lift wieghts mainly because I work in a prison and being strong could save my life.

Starting to get back into shape again myself; being a field engineer for my firm requires a lot of time on the road, and I've put on about forty extra pounds in the last 5-6 years. Eating at restaurants on the company dime can do that to you.

As I explained to a female coworker, I need to drop that 40 lbs before I can safely take off my shirt in front of innocent women & children.

I don't want to be responsible for that mental picture in anyone's head...

cheers

The only exercise I do is Karate. It`s good exercise. A tad expensive though.... http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

luckily (i think) my job keeps me nice and fit, since i climb trees all day, and continually lifting your own body wieght sure keeps you in trim.

i do think theres a lot of milage in the phrase 'healthy body healthy mind'

"I laughed ...until I stopped..." (Monty Python)

I enjoyed Shotokan Karate for three years towards the end of my army service...but my final three years was in Hong kong...where they didn't want to teach a westerner anything, just use him as a punchbag...so I stopped...
Had enough of running in the army too....now I like cycling for exercise.

Got a gym membership back in November after months of inactivity last yea (hell I broke my wrist one year ago this week http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif ) wrecking my bike and going back on the buses and a funk that saw me gain maybe 10 - 15 kilos. Got a new bike last August, and now been working out religiously at least 3 times a week, a mix of cardio and muscle toning worked out with a monitor. Plus the odd workout course (like Tuesdays at noon, thigh, butt and abdominal course where I am one of the only males http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/winky.gif ) for variety. Oh and the sauna and turkish bath are good too.

Before I went to the gym today I was looking all over the house for my favorite sweat shirt and was getting fairly peed off, then I finally found it hanging in the closet. What a pathetic place, I thought, for my favorite workout shirt, hanging nice and neat on a hanger.
