So I'm looking to buy this bundle soon: http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?sku_id=...E866&test%5Fcookie=1 (http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?sku_id=bdl10002538&logon=&langid=EN&MSCSProfile=3C79F0C7EA3162B2D7ADAC57314A0E6A756C17 D8458288AA65B66A1CDECA4762913E62AC5766B9704E9F8DE6 12FECC79D959EE6512D9A4E626F2FCB786D211198A55EF13DC DD7118BCCAF6A5D4EF9F187836906DDD89FACC770A0B162C19 3B5DC6722FA80391EC03762118B363DF93202D1DDCD21E42E8 66&test%5Fcookie=1)

While I was reading the specs it doesnt mention if it has a wireless network card or not (i doubt it would). If i get the computer I would put it in my room while the modem is downstairs with my parents computer. We already have a wireless router for my sisters laptops so my question is: should i buy this wireless networking card? http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?logon=&...tid=&test%5Fcookie=1 (http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?logon=&langid=EN&MSCSProfile=3C79F0C7EA3162B2D7ADAC57314A0E6A77414C A06D802399D3B6538659CC71DA018834AC6F19DD5D731E6118 B0A21477E9EB3807321DFC111390EDB7A66A4516913230BADD 4DB79E878A890BABF190FD68CA8C219053E9C5879CEEBBB725 9F3F89556A1764F543A4C9F73006A1D3667522F9461CE8FBD0 A8&sku_id=0665000FS10076869&catid=&test%5Fcookie=1)

I don't know if you are interested in doing any gaming on the PC but you won't have many options with that integrated card.

You do have the option to upgrade to a better PCI Express video card though. Should you choose to do so later.

The second link takes us to the same place as the first one.

But, any wireless card should be fine. You have two PCI slots available so you should be fine.

Ok. Thanks, I'll fix the second link.

I'm not really interested in gaming since i have a 360. I only really want it for when i go to university next year, and for music and other things. I cant even use my parents computer anymore to put songs on my ipod touch since it still has windows 2000 and newer ipods require XP or Vista.

I don't think you can use that network card. It's a PCI card, and according to the specs that computer has only a single PCI-Express expansion slot. You'll need to find a PCI-E wireless card to go in it, or else run a cable down to the router assuming it does have outlets for cable hookups as well.

Ok. I did my research and found that wasnt the computer i was looking at in the flyer. This one is http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?logon=&...d=BDL10002540&catid= (http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?logon=&langid=EN&MSCSProfile=3C79F0C7EA3162B2749BCCA9199FD9D1CFA103 CD6B60C420CA92B4C624710B4565533DC13824A989A627C977 C88C77249128B9A7734B6C48B86A4573D9D1C5F63419BB0DAC 23B2A70D8AE757304BF3FF58E3F2BC709DF090B9D84D56B63C CD120666EAC78155E74787DF9AF1BAC5D5CF2F244D3A1C090B E7&sku_id=BDL10002540&catid=)

it says it comes with a wireless LAN networking card. is that what i would need to connect it to the router?

Yes, and that one at least has an expansion slot for a graphics card later, should you decide to play games with it.

However, notice it does not come with a monitor. You'll need one. It does come with a keyboard and mouse.

I don't know what you are using right now, but if you plan on spending $700 on a computer, you might want to consider buying parts and building your own. It would be much better than what a OEM type PC would be and you would have more upgrade options for the future. Something to think about.

Wk is right, I could put a PC together for 700 that would smoke that one you got picked out, assuming you have a k/b, mouse and monitor. If you add a monitor I could still put one together that would be better. Also being able to purchase online from newegg/tigerdirect would also help.
