i tryed lowering the graphics settings all the way down, i updated my drivers to the october 25 beta ones too, and that still dident help.
im using a 8800gt video card on xp. i dont have problems running any of my other games (like crysis) but this game just dosent go past the jeep at all
if anyone has a solution please tell me http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

Word up. It bombs out for me on the jeep scene.
I have nvidia 8800gt on xp.
I had to roll my drivers back to 169.71 just to get even this far.

Hmm... that sounds like video driver corruption to me. I would start by uninstalling the currently installed set of nVidia Forceware drivers, preferably in safe mode to affirm that the uninstall is as "clean" as possible.
Next, I would get a hold of a driver cleaner program and run that to clean up any "mess" the uninstaller may have left behind. DriverSweeper (Google it) is free and works pretty well in my experiences using it. DriverCleaner is also a solid product, but costs money.
Then, I would search the hard drive for any prior nVidia ForceWare setups that may have been unpacked prior. Unless you change the path during driver installation, prior driver sets are typically unpacked in the C:\nvidia folder. Locate any prior driver versions (denoted by the corresponding version number in the folder name) and delete them.
Finally, download the latest non-BETA WHQL drivers for your video card directly from the nVidia website. I think the current version for the 8800 series is 178.24. Install these and retry. If this works, you can then try installing the latest and greatest (180.43 BETA for the 8800 series as of this writing) following the process outlined above.
Hope this helps.

All the drivers I have run have been non-beta.
I am running Crysis and Deadspace perfectly no crashes on maximum.
So no. I don't think it's corrupted drivers.

Im having similar problems, but I have narrowed it down to the Raid driver (im using RAID 0 on my PC). I installed it on a non RAID external SATA drive and all was fine. Finally I rolled back to a previous version of driver and all runs sweet. I was also having FC2 freeze on installation. No other game does this. Ubi seem to be clutching at straws for a fix.

Fair enough. I hope you get the issue resolved.
