Todelmer CRASHING!!!!!

This is so infuriating.... I have completed Tahgira, went down the shaft, found the book, went into the bubble, picked up the slate and as soon as I touch the triangle to teleport my computer restarts. It is apparently an ERROR STOP error... could this be because i do not have a video card, but why then have i gotten this far???
