Are you on Utah Beach in the game?!
and my computer has a SAPPHIRE RADEON 9200 ATLANTIS video card and 256 MB ram
will it work?
and must i have a DVD ROM to play the game?

No, it was stated that you can see the beach from inland while it was being invaded. Not sure how this is going to be modeled, just have to wait and see.

Here in the UK I have seen on various retail sites that they state you must have DVD drive to play. But Half Life 2 only came out on DVD here and I think the US got a CD version as well, so it may be different for where ever you live!
BTW I bought a DVD drive just to play Half Life 2, glad I did now!!

Personally I am not aware of the system specs.
However, I'm sure it will run on that.
But if I were you I'd get myself 256 mb more ram, just to make it run smoother and better. You have a chance it will run, but in a terrible way with only 256 mb ram http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

just buy another 256 ram chip they way to find out which one is for your pc is go to www.crucial.com (http://www.crucial.com) and just follow the steps by what pc you have model and so on

No, your video card is not good enough.
You can possibly run it on low.

what video card would you recommend?

Depends on what computer you have but in his case he should upgrade everything else first then he could get a Geforce 6600 GT.
