Is there a save function like F5 where I can save my progress? every time i crash i have to start all over again. it is frustrating. Especially since i just started playing the game and i am not 100% set on the controls.

The PS3 Hawx has mission checkpoints frequently, does not the PC Hawx?
Normally, in computer games, ALT and F4 together brings up the save window.

In some missions you do get checkpoint saves. It will say "load checkpoint" or something to that effect. But only after you crash/get shotdown. If you are starting the game back up after playing the day before you have to start the mission over.

The PC variant does have the checkpoints. But, when your computer dies (like an X-Box) The checkpoint info is lost. (it's held in the RAM because you can achieve different checkpoints threwout the round, therefor, it's dynamic information)

nw,
Load checkpoint should be in your pause menu, so you don't have to wait for crashing or being shot down.

True, but I guess I don't think about loading if I haven't been shotdown. You have a valid point landon. Just didn't occur to me.

thanks for all your answers, but even when I crash and I choose load checkpoint the mission starts from the begining. I am only on the second mission and already am frustrated with the game...
