Does anyone know how to enable the Joystick hat switch to provide an instant view left/right/ up/down etc.as opposed to the slow turn of the head type movement. Is there a lua type file I could go into and change something maybe ? Thanks.

You can get what you want by remapping the JS Thumb switch in the OPTIONS/INPUT menu.

In the example above you want to change the
Slow view left = Thumb0 Left to Control + Thumb0 Left
Then change Camera view left = Control + Thumb0 Left to just Thumb0 Left
Also do the same swap for Slow view right/up/down and Camera view right/up/down
Fly a test and see how the JS Hat works unshifted and with Cntrl key held down.

If that 45% side instant side view that change gives you isn't enough - edit the cockpit.lua file in the \Lock On\Config\View folder.
CockpitPanStepHor = 45.0
CockpitPanStepVert = 30.0
You can change the Left/Right (CockpitPanStepHor) view from 45% to say, 60%, 75%, or even 90%.
You can change the Up/Down (CockpitPanStepVert) the same way.

Thanks WhiskeyRomeo, thatimproves things a lot, I've opened the angles up a bit too. One thing I cannot get right though is my 4 + 8 +10+2 O'Clocks on the hat switch, it still functions in "pan" mode. Maybe I'm having a particularly "dense" day. What I now have is great, but if you understand what I'm trying to do and you know how, please let me know.Thanks.
